  • Why is my account being transferred?

Your Corporate employee super account was established prior to the successor fund transfer (SFT) of BT Super to the Mercer Super Trust, to enable your employer to make superannuation contributions on your behalf into a complying superannuation fund during this time.  As the SFT is now complete, we are closing your super account and transferring it to Mercer Business Super.

The transfer supports improving member outcomes and brings a number of improvements, such as the ability to apply for Voluntary Cover and/or a Life Events increase. Please refer to the Significant Event Notice (SEN) you received in August 2023 for further details. You may review a copy of this SEN in the Forms and Documents section below.

  • When will the transfer occur?

On or around 22 September 2023, via an Intra-Fund Transfer (IFT).

  • Do I need to consent to this transfer?

No. Under the rules of the Mercer Super Trust (the Fund) and in accordance with superannuation law, the trustee of the Fund has the discretion to transfer its members from one product to another within the Fund without the prior written consent of members. The trustee has a duty to act in the best financial interests of its members and has determined that the transfer to Mercer Business Super satisfies this duty.

  • What is a Limited Service Period and will it apply?

During a Limited Service Period (LSP), transaction processing is delayed to ensure the accurate and complete transfer of member records. An LSP will apply to this transfer.

You will be unable to transact on your existing account, in most circumstances, from 5pm (AEST/AEDT) Friday 22 September 2023.

All transaction requests will resume at 12.01am (AEST/AEDT) Thursday 28 September 2023.
