Activate your Mercer Super account in four easy steps


To access the new app and member portal, you'll need to activate your account first. Follow these simple steps to get started.
 

Step 1: Activate your account

Grab your Mercer Super member number and visit the member portal.

Step 2: Enter your details

Enter your email and set up a secure password. Make sure to use the same email address linked to your account.

Step 3: Verify your account

To keep your account secure, we’ll send a unique verification code to the mobile number and email address linked to your account. Please check both for the code.

Step 4: You’re ready to go

Once you activate your account, you can log in using your email address and password. You may be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your mobile or email.


Tips for existing users


We’ve added multi-factor authentication to the new Mercer Super app and member portal to help keep your account and personal information safe.

If you haven’t logged in for a while, you may need to set up your multi-factor authentication. Just have your member number ready to get started.

  • Have the Mercer Super app and member portal changed?

    Yes, we launched a new Mercer Super app and member portal. These updates are part of our digital transformation project, aimed at improving how our members can manage their Mercer Super accounts online. 

  • Can I use the old app and member portal?

    The old app and member portal will no longer be accessible around late-September 2025. We encourage you to explore the enhanced features and functionality of the new app and member portal and start using them now to ensure uninterrupted access.

  • Can I access the app & member portal from multiple devices?

    You can download the Mercer Super mobile app on your Apple or Android device for easy access on the go.

    You can also access the member portal from your desktop or tablet.

  • What are the key changes from the old app and member portal?

    User-friendly interface: The new design offers a more intuitive and streamlined layout, making it easier to navigate and find the information you need.

    Mobile compatibility: The new member portal is fully optimised for mobile devices, ensuring a seamless experience whether you’re using a desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

    Personalised dashboard: You now have access to a personalised dashboard that provides a comprehensive overview of your account(s), including balance(s), contributions, and investment performance.

    Improved security measures: Enhanced security measures, including multi-factor authentication, have been introduced to better protect your personal and financial information.

  • Are the app and member portal secure?

    Yes, the Mercer Super app and member portal are designed with your security in mind. We feature security measures, including encryption and secure authentication protocols, to protect your personal and financial information.

    Your privacy and security are our top priorities, and we are committed to using and maintaining appropriate safeguards to protect your data while you manage your superannuation and pension accounts.

  • I can’t find what I’m looking for?

    If you're having trouble finding a feature on the new Mercer Super app or member portal, please don't hesitate to contact us at 1800 682 525, Monday to Friday 8am-7pm (AEST/ AEDT). We're here to help you and ensure you find what you need.

  • Why can’t I log in with a biometric (face/fingerprint ID)?

    For the launch of the new app, biometric login has been temporarily removed. This means you will need to enter your email address and password each time you log in. For an extra layer of security to your account, we have already implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which requires an additional verification step beyond just your password. This change is a temporary measure as we work on improving biometric authentication. We plan to reintroduce biometric login later this year to provide a more seamless experience while maintaining strong security.

Account activation

  • How to activate your account for online access

    Before logging in for the first time, you’ll need to activate your account.

    The steps for activating your account are below:

    1. Go to the ‘Log in’ page and click ‘Activate Now’.

    2. Enter your member number, date of birth and the email address linked to your account. Your member number can be found in your welcome letter or annual statement. If you need help, please call us on 1800 682 525.

    3. Create a strong password that you’ll use to log in. It should be at least 8 characters long and include:

      • 1 number
      • 1 special character (e.g., !, @, #)
      • 1 uppercase letter
      • 1 lowercase letter
         
    4. We’ll then send an SMS (text message) with a unique verification code to the mobile phone number linked to your account. You’ll need to enter this code to verify that the mobile number is yours. If a mobile number isn’t linked to your account, you’ll be asked to enter your mobile number first.

    5. We’ll also send you an email with a unique verification code which you’ll need to enter to verify that the email address linked to your account is yours.

    6. Your account is now activated. You can log in to your account using your email address and the password you created.

  • Where can I find my member number?

    Your member number can be found in your welcome letter, which was sent when you joined Mercer Super, or your annual statement. If you can’t find this information, please call us on 1800 682 525.

  • Why does the system say my date of birth is incorrect?

    If the system says your date of birth is incorrect, please try clicking the box and using the calendar to input your date of birth rather than typing it in manually. If this still doesn’t work it’s likely we have the wrong date of birth on file for you. Please contact us so we can correct it for you. Once this has been fixed, you’ll be able to complete the account activation process.

  • Why do I get an error saying my email is already in use?

    Our registration process only allows one account per email address. It’s likely that your email address has been used to activate another Mercer Super account. This can happen when partners share an email address and both are Mercer Super members.

    If you believe this is a mistake or someone else has used your email without your permission, please contact us immediately on 1800 682 525. We’re here to help and can assist you in resolving any issues.

    To activate your account, you’ll need to use another email address.

  • Can I update my email address during the activation process?

    No, you cannot update your email address during the account activation process.

    If you don’t have access to the email address that’s linked to your account, please call us on 1800 682 525. We’ll be able to update it over the phone for you, and you can restart the account activation process.

    However, once the process has completed you can update your email address by logging in and heading to the ‘My details’ section.

  • What if I haven’t provided you with an email address?

    If there is no email address linked to your account, please call us on 1800 682 525 and we’ll be able to add it over the phone for you. You'll then be able to complete the activation process.

  • The account activation code has expired, what do I do?

    If the code has expired, you can request another activation code.

  • Where do I log in to the member portal?

    You can log in to your member portal at mercersuper.com.au/login.

  • I’ve already activated my account, but I can’t log in?

    If you're experiencing problems logging in, there could be a few reasons.

    • Check you aren’t trying to activate your account again. You only need to activate once, after that log in with your email and password.
    • Check you’re entering the same email linked to your Mercer Super account 
    • Check the password you’re entering is correct If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it via the ‘Forgot your password?’ link on the login screen.


    If your account has been locked, or you’re still experiencing issues, please call us on 1800 682 525 for help.

  • My access to the member portal has been locked what do I do?

    We will need to unlock your account manually for security reasons. Please call us on 1800 682 525, Monday to Friday 8 am-7 pm (AEST/ AEDT).

  • I’ve forgotten my password/how can I change my password?

    Once you’ve activated your account, you can change your password at the login screen by clicking the ‘Forgot your password?’ link and entering your email address.

    You’ll then need to verify your identity by entering a unique code, which can be sent to your email or mobile phone – whichever you prefer.

    The code will expire after 10 minutes. If it expires, you can request another verification code.

    You can also change your password at any time by logging into the member portal and going to the ‘Change Password’ section.

  • What is the Mercer Super app and member portal?

    The Mercer Super app and member portal are user-friendly digital tools designed for Mercer Super members. They enable you to easily manage your super and pension accounts from your personal devices.

    Available for both Apple and Android platforms, the app provides convenient access to your account information, helping you stay informed and in control of your financial future.
